While this versatility may go a little unnoticed for rear cameras, it’s definitely a welcome move for selfie lovers who don’t usually get treated to such excesses. Moving on to the front of the device, the V17 Pro brings as many as two lenses for clicking selfies.
With its dual pop-up cameras, NEX 3-inspired design, and quadruple rear camera set up – is it a vivo v17 pro that’s worth copping?. Starting with the front camera, the night mode selfies are a big no as it does not capture details properly and I personally do not see a point in “night mode” for selfies.

It’s a little chunky and heavy but still quite manageable. The 6.44-inch full-HD AMOLED display is bright, has good colour saturation and viewing angles. Vivo has been on a phone launching spree over the past few months in India. We’ve seen the Vivo Z1 Pro, Vivo Z1x, Vivo S1, and recently, the Vivo U10 and Vivo V17 Pro. We’ve already tested all these new offerings, and now it’s time to check out the Vivo V17 Pro. This is the successor to the Vivo V15 Pro, which launched earlier this year.

Just like the rest of Vivo’s V-series, the selfie camera is the main highlight. In fact, the Vivo V17 Pro features two pop-up selfie cameras and four at the back, for a total of six cameras. The Vivo V17 Pro’s rear camera configuration is very different, because the LED flash is right across the middle of the four lenses. There is no proof from Vivo’s V17 Pro’s driver’s side fingerprint that the smartphone has a fingerprint scanner under display to give the smartphone full protection. Launched some days ago the Vivo V17 Pro goes on sale in India today.
As for the connectivity, the smartphone has a number of options such as 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n, Mobile Hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS, USB type-C. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC and comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The SoC is a little weak for the price but is fairly capable of handling apps and games. Keep in mind that it does make the phone quite hot with prolonged camera use or gaming. The Vivo V17 Pro is a unique offering, with two pop-up selfie cameras and four more at the back. It’s well built and looks premium, despite the all-polycarbonate build.
Vivo V17 Pro Comparison: Display, Soc, Ram
At Rs 29,990 should you buy this dual pop-up selfie camera smartphone? With the rear cameras, the photos produced have vivid and vibrant colors to them when taken under natural and ample lighting. Subject-background separation in portrait mode is a little disappointing, though, as the edge detection seems pretty sharp. With the 120-degree wide-angle lens, there’s a bit of fish-eye effect to the images, but they’re not too noticeable. The handset also has a dedicated night mode, and it results in the picture looking noisy.
I would rather choose to click selfies in the normal mode, than in dim lighting as it uses its flash to give sharp and good quality pictures. There is no denying the fact that Vivo has been the torchbearer in the “No notch” revolution that dominated the smartphone industry this year. In the Vivo V17 Pro, the company went all out and launched the first-ever dual selfie smartphone camera. With Vivo V17, it has announced the tiniest hole-punch camera which is quite impressive.
