If you miss going to a real-life arcade full of cabinets to play games on, Arcade1Up allows you to create the same experience at home. The company just announced three new arcade cabinets and a pinball machine are launching later this year, including the first ever re-creation of the Ms. Pac-Man cabinet since its inception in 1981.
As IGN reports, Arcade1Up is already well-known for its faithfully recreated arcade cabinets. Now the company has worked with Capcom, Bandai-Namco, and Marvel Studios to tempt us with cabinets for Ms. Pac-Man and X-Men vs. Street Fighter, while also offering a Marvel pinball machine amd a new dual lightgun cabinet for the Big Buck Hunter games.
Each of the cabinets offers multiple games to play. The Ms. Pac-Man cabinet also includes Pac-Mania, Pac-Man Plus, and Galaxian. The X-Men vs. Street Fighter cabinet also includes Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Superheroes, X-Men: Children of the Atom, and X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse. Finally, the Big Buck Hunter cabinet offers Big Buck Hunter Pro, Big Buck Hunter Pro Open Season, Big Buck Safari, and Big Buck Safari Outback.
The Marvel Pinball machine uses a recessed 24-inch HD display protected behind an acrylic top and metal bezel. It has a built-in accelerometer for real nudge and tilt features, as well as offering haptic feedback to the player. Arcade1Up worked with Marvel Studios and Zen Studios to create the pinball experience, which will include 10 Marvel tables provided by Zen. The list of games has yet to be revealed.
No release dates or pricing has been revealed yet, but with all three cabinets and the pinball machine launching this year, it shouldn’t be too long before we know how much they cost. For now, you can sign-up to be notified when they become available on the Arcade1Up website.
